LISLE, IL - Hosting a conference tournament game for the first time, the Benedictine University men's lacrosse team used a big fourth quarter to pull away from Marian and advance to the NACC Championship on Saturday, setting the single season record for wins in the process.

• Marian led for a lot of the opening quarter, holding leads of 1-0, 2-1 and 4-3
• Nic Perkins and
Joe Spahn scored at the end of the quarter to put Benedictine ahead 5-4
• Marian jumped back in front at 6-5 less than two minutes into the second
• Goals from
Colin Domek and
Anthony Leahy put Benedictine in front 7-6 but Marian tied the game headed into the half
• Trailing 8-7, Perkins and
Brogan Hall scored to again hand Benedictine the advantage
• The contest headed to the final 15 minutes even at 9-9
• The contest was still tied at 10-10 before Benedictine rattled off four straight goals to seize control and grab the win

• Benedictine totaled 45 shots in the contest and collected 39 groundballs while winning 18 faceoffs
• Domek scored four goals and added a pair of assists
• Perkins notched four goals as well to go with an assist
• Thomas Tillett scored twice with four assists
• Evan Kilbane stopped 11 shots in goal
