AURORA, IL - The Benedictine University softball team dropped two close, well-pitched contests at Aurora to split the four-game series with each team recording a home sweep.

• Aurora scored a single run in the bottom of the first and added an insurance run with a homer in the fifth
• Benedictine had runners on base in five innings, including first and second with no outs in the sixth
• Benedictine saw early opportunities in the second game but scored their only run of the day in the third when
Taylor Skraba hit her seventh homer of the season
• Aurora was able to tie the game in the fourth and take the lead on a homer with two outs in the fifth
