AURORA, IL - The Benedictine University softball team grabbed a second win on Friday to reach the NACC South Championship.

THE DETAILS
- Rockford opened the scoring with a leadoff homer to begin the game
- Benedictine responded with four runs in the bottom of the inning and did not trail again the rest of the game

Neena Franklin tripled home three to put Benedictine in front
- Benedictine tacked on three more runs in the fifth to lead 7-1

- Sara Allison doubled home the seventh run
- Rockford scored three runs on just one hit in the sixth to pull within 7-4
- Colleen Schmit doubled home two in the bottom of the inning to account for the final
STAT LEADERS
- Fast worked 6.2 innings to earn the win
- Benedictine finished with 12 hits
- Fisher finished with three hits while Franklin totaled two with three RBIs
- Fast helped her own cause with two hits
- Fisher and Gill both scored three runs

Benedictine (31-12) will need to defeat Aurora twice on Saturday to win the South. The first game is at 12:00 p.m.
