LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's volleyball team kicked off the home portion of the schedule with a thrilling comeback win in non-conference play against Wheaton.

THE DETAILS
• Wheaton led the entire opening set, grabbing a 6-1 lead out of the gates
• Caroline O'Connor and
Yngride JeanPhillipe tallied kills during a four-point run in the second that saw Benedictine open a 7-3 lead
• Benedictine continued to add on, opening leads of 15-8 and 19-9
• Wheaton scored the first four points of the third but kills from
Brooke Huizenga and
Sam Zurawski helped Benedictine lead 6-5
• Alyssa Mojica posted a strong showing at the serving line but Wheaton led 23-21 before Benedictine tallied four straight to end the set
• After Wheaton led for a lot of the fourth,
Grace Knutsen opened a run of five straight capped by a kill from
Hannah Griffith as Benedictine pulled within 14-13
• Benedictine answered every Wheaton surge and down 24-23 scored three straight to grab a second consecutive win
