Tyler Jarnagin returned and threw for 327 yards and five touchdowns as the Benedictine University football team sent the seniors out in style with a 49-35 win over Wisconsin Lutheran at home.

Dylan Sigel to help set up a four-yard plunge from
Kiandre Morris to make the score 7-0 with 11:20 to play in the first. Wisconsin Lutheran would score the next two touchdowns to move ahead 14-7 early in the second.

Jarnagin completed four passes on a drive to immediately respond, hitting Sigel for a nine-yard score to tie the game with 7:36 remaining. The teams traded scores on the next two possessions with Jarnagin finding
Calin Gurau for a 15-yard score to tie the game at 21 with 1:15 left in the half. Wisconsin Lutheran proceeded to take advantage of penalties to score a go-ahead touchdown and take a 28-21 lead into the half.

The visitors opened the second half with possession but
Keshawn Holder stalled the drive with an interception in the endzone.
Sami Ayash recorded back-to-back catches to even the game, reeling in a 28-yard strike from the program's all-time leader in touchdown passes with 8:14 left in the third. Wisconsin Lutheran again answered with a score to lead 35-28 but Benedictine finished the third quarter with an 11-yard drive prompted by a two-yard run from Sigel to again tie the score.

Deandre Holliday caught a four-yard score on third and goal to put Benedictine ahead 42-35 early in the fourth. Benedictine forced a three-and-out and Ayash sealed the game with a 40-yard touchdown reception.

The teams combined for nearly 1,000 yards of offense. Sigel ran for 108 yards and a touchdown while catching three passes for 44 yards and a score. Jarnagin completed passes to seven different receivers. Ayash caught wight passes for 181 yards and two touchdowns. Walkers led the defense with 15 tackles while
Sergio Ayala added 10 stops.
Benedictine finished the year 7-3 with a 5-3 mark in the NACC.
