De PERE, WI - The Benedictine University women's basketball team saw the season come to a close with a close loss at St. Norbert in the NACC Semifinals.

THE DETAILS
- St. Norbert used an early 8-0 run to open a 10-2 lead just past the halfway point of the first quarter
- Benedictine consistently came from behind to stay in the contest
- Fanning and
Brilan McCory knocked down back-to-back threes and
Brianna Lake converted on a layup to tie the game at 12-12 heading into the second
- Another 8-0 run saw the hosts lead 22-14 with 4:20 to play in the half
- Benedictine again chipped away, using a three from Fanning and a McCory layup to pull within 27-25 at the half
- St. Norbert was again able to open an eight-point lead in the third but twice Benedictine was able to pull within two and faced a 44-40 deficit headed to the fourth
- Claire Gibler hit a three to draw Benedictine within 50-49 with 3:38 left
- St. Norbert hit two free throws with 12 seconds left to lead 54-51
and Benedictine had a good look to tie but dropped the close contest
