LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's volleyball team went toe-to-toe with Daemen, a Division I foe that is making a journey through the Midwest.

• Daemen built a big early lead in the opening set and did not trail
• A service ace from
Nathan Klimisch brought Benedictine within 16-14 and a
Chase Olson kill made the score 19-17
• Down 24-20, Benedictine was able to pull within 24-23 before Daemen closed out the first
• Grygo and
Tim Folliard combined on a block to open the second before Daemen scored four in a row and eventually led 11-3
• Cooper Armstrong notched a pair of kills late to get Benedictine within striking distance
• Benedictine was able to lead in the third and countered every Daemen surge but could not overcome the deficit
• After a slow start Benedictine hit .314 for the contest
