DAVENPORT, FL - The Benedictine University baseball team battled the elements to tally a one-run win, the fifth in a row, over Trinity (Conn.) in Florida.

THE DETAILS
- Trinity had the bases loaded with no outs in the top of the second but
Stephen Sewruk shut the door
- Benedictine answered by taking the lead in the bottom of the inning ib a two out solo homer from
Cole Wilson
- Trinity was able to tie the game in the third before Sewruk was again able to limit the damage, stranding runners at second and third with back-to-back strikeouts
- Benedictine took the lead for good with a pair of two out runs in the bottom of the inning
- Steven Salvino tallied a one-out walk and with two outs
Andrew Tenison doubled

Kevin Bushnell was hit by a pitch
Damen Castillo recorded a two-run single, making the score 3-1
- Trinity scored in the fourth to pull within 3-2
- The pitching staff continued to work out of jams and Castillo added a needed insurance run with an RBI groundout in the fifth
- Trinity scored a two-out run in the sixth but managed just one baserunner the rest of the way
STAT LEADERS
- Sewruk struck out five in four innings
- Austin Pizer earned the win, allowing one run in four innings of work out of the bullpen
- Tenison spun a perfect ninth to record the save
- Benedictine managed only four hits, two of which came from WIlson
- Tenison scored twice while Castillo knocked home three
