GAME ONE DETAILS
• Runs came in bunches in the opener
• Damen Castillo opened the scoring with a two-run homer in the first but MSOE came back with three runs in the bottom of the inning
• Benedictine responded with three in the second to open a 5-3 lead
• Ryan Doubek drove home a run with a fielder's choice while
Kevin Bushnell singled home a run and another scored on an error
• The hosts took the lead behind three runs in the third, two of which came with two outs
• Benedictine countered again with two runs as Bushnell singled home the tying run and an error allowed the go-ahead run to score, making the count 7-6
• MSOE tied the game in the fifth before
Andrew Tenison put Benedictine up with a two-out double to score

• MSOE again answered, tallying two runs in the bottom of the inning to go up 9-8
• Turelli stroked a two-out RBI double in the seventh to tie the game but MSOE plated a run in the bottom of the inning and added insurance in the eighth

GAME TWO
- Putting the opening loss behind them, Benedictine set the tone early in game two, racing out to a 6-0 lead
- Doubek and Turelli both singled to open the game before Bushnell launched a two-run double
- Doubek drove home
Kyle Williams with two outs in the second to make the lead 3-0
- Bushnell homered to lead off the third and two batters later Tenison greeted a new hurler with a two-run blast
- MSOE scored single runs in the third and eighth but managed just three hits
GAME TWO STATS
- Robbie Dudzinski threw 7.1 innings, allowing just one earned run on three hits while striking out eight to grab his third win of the year
- Simon Herold worked the final 1.2 innings, striking out two
- Benedictine finished with 10 hits
- Turelli finished with three hits while Doubek and Bushnell tallied two each
