• A low scoring contest, Marian grabbed a 1-0 lead with an unearned run in the third
• Benedictine was able to tie the game in the fourth with two outs when Tenison jogged in on a wild pitch
• Justin Sosa kept putting up zeroes and Benedictine was finally able to jump ahead in the sixth
• Castillo and Tenison singled and a sacrifice fly from Cam Falk made the score 2-1
• Two more runs scored in the seventh on an RBI single from Castillo and Falk was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded

GAME TWO LEADERS
• Sosa struck out 11 in six innings, fanning at least one in every inning and two on five occasions to move to 3-1 after allowing just two hits
• Jon Creviston struck out five in the final three innings to pick up the save
• Benedictine managed just seven hits with Castillo and Tenison posting two apiece
• Castillo and Falk both drove home two
• Benedictine drew seven walks and were hit by a pitch on three occasions
