AURORA, IL - The Benedictine University softball team split a pair of contests at the NACC Tournament, seeing the season end in the semifinals.

THE DETAILS
- Due to weather postponing Thursday and Friday, the tournament was reduced to single elimination
- After two days of waiting Benedictine was finally able to take the field as the fourth seed
- Meeting Lakeland in the first game, Benedictine was able to scrape across the lone run in the fifth
- Megan Fast drew a two-out walk and pinch-runner

- Asia Robinette singled home the lone run of the game
- Lakeland saw the first two reach in the sixth but
Alexandra Loizon worked out of the mess
- Loizon walked one and struck out six in the shutout
- Sara Allison posted two hits
- Benedictine struggled to create offense in the second game
- The regular season conference champions scored a run in the second and four in the third
- Benedictine had runners on base in just two innings
- Becky Roncone finished with two of the three hits for Benedictine
- Loizon took the loss, Fast threw four innings in relief
