The Benedictine University women's basketball team suffered a 77-55 defeat on the road at Edgewood College on Wednesday. Benedictine scored the first five points of the game but Edgewood took the lead midway through the quarter and pulled away behind an 8-0 run late in the second. Benedictine shot 31 percent in the contest while Edgewood held a 44-35 edge on the glass.
Brilan McCory paced Benedictine with 16 points, finishing 7-of-9 from the field with seven rebounds.
Sierra Skack totaled nine off the bench.
