The Benedictine University men's soccer team scored a pair of goals in the second half to nab a key conference victory over Illinois Tech at home. Down 1-0 at the half,
Thomas Suchecki and
Cesar Ruezga set up David Szflarski for the equalizer on a long blast through traffic in the first five minutes of the second half.
Berto Castillo accounted for the win by booting home a penalty kick in the 63 minutes. Benedictine finished with 14 shots in the contest. Reigning NACC Defensive Player of the Week
