The Benedictine University softball team could not have gotten off to a better start to the season in Florida.
Alexandra Loizon opened the season by sitting down all 21 Bluffton batters in order to record a perfect game as the Benedictine University softball team kicked off the year in style with a 7-0 win.
Ashley Fisher finished 4-for-4 with a three-run homer in the second, knocking home four in the contest. Benedictine plated a pair of runs in the first, four in the second and another in the fourth.
Victoria Duszynski amassed three hits.

The second contest saw Benedictine score four runs in the second inning and ride another solid performance in the circle, this time from
Jasmine Lozano. Lozano allowed just three hits while striking out five.
Taylor Skraba,
Neena Franklin and
Colleen Schmit all posted two hits in the win.

Benedictine (2-0) plays the University of Chicago and Rutgers-Camden on Saturday.
