The Benedictine University baseball team led early but the bats of Bethel University were too much in a 15-6 defeat down in Florida. Bethel finished with 18 hits and scored in five different innings. Benedictine held early leads of 2-0 and 3-2 but Bethel's offense was too much. A walk, a hit by pitch and steal helped Benedictine score first. After Bethel tied the game in the bottom of the first Benedictine scored again in the second but Bethel notched two in the bottom of the inning and did not trail again. Benedictine finished with 10 hits in the loss including another homer from
Kevin Bushnell, his fifth of the season and third of the trip.
Peter Turelli posted two hits and
Alex Cameron added three from the bottom two slots in the lineup.
Ryan Doubek scored twice, drove home two and stole a base. Four pitchers appeared in the game.
