Benedictine won the opener of Oshkosh 12-6 in 10 innings. Trailing 5-1, Benedictine was able to tie the game with three runs in the sixth and a run in the seventh. After both teams scored in the ninth the bats exploded for six in the 10th led by a go-ahead three-run homer from Bushnell, who drove home four. Chase Hanselman, Ryan Doubek and Cole Wilson posted two hits apiece. On the mound Jackson Bahn worked three innings, striking out four. Dan Dombrowski threw the fourth while Brock Bevil logged four scoreless innings and Andrew Tenison two frames to earn the win.

Benedictine held leads of 2-0 and 3-1 against national power Webster but a three-run seventh allowed Webster to rally for the win.
