Kevin Bushnell hit homers in each contest as the Benedictine University baseball won another weekend by splitting with nationally recognized programs UW-Oshkosh and Webster on Sunday.
Benedictine won the opener of Oshkosh 12-6 in 10 innings. Trailing 5-1, Benedictine was able to tie the game with three runs in the sixth and a run in the seventh. After both teams scored in the ninth the bats exploded for six in the 10th led by a go-ahead three-run homer from Bushnell, who drove home four.
Chase Hanselman,
Ryan Doubek and
Cole Wilson posted two hits apiece. On the mound
Jackson Bahn worked three innings, striking out four.
Dan Dombrowski threw the fourth while
Brock Bevil logged four scoreless innings and
Andrew Tenison two frames to earn the win.
Benedictine held leads of 2-0 and 3-1 against national power Webster but a three-run seventh allowed Webster to rally for the win. Bushnell hit a solo homer in the first inning and Tenison added a solo shot in the second. Bushnell and
Brennan Fisher notched two hits each.
Nick Kosmetatos allowed just one run in six innings.

Benedictine (4-2) heads to Florida to face more daunting compeition in the non-conference slate for the annual spring break trip this week.
