The Benedictine University softball team dropped a pair of contests at home to visiting Aurora on Thursday, falling 4-2 and 10-2.
Aurora led 3-0 in the opener, scoring twice in the second and adding another in the fourth.
Morgan Bruno drove home the first Benedictine run in the bottom of the fourth.
Jasmine Lozano singled home a run in the bottom of the seventh as Benedictine brought the tying run to the plate but could not tie the game. Lozano and
Colleen Schmit both recorded two hits.
Alexandra Loizon allowed just two earned runs while striking out four but suffered the loss in the complete game
The second contest saw Aurora score five runs in the first inning. Just five of the 10 runs scored in the five-inning affair were earned. Lozano suffered the loss but
Bella Lodico tossed 4.1 innings.
Neena Franklin doubled home a run in the third and Schmit notched an RBI single in the fourth to account for the Benedictine tallies. Franklin posted two hits in the defeat.
