The Benedictine University women's soccer team opened conference play by scoring a pair of late goals to blank Concordia Wisconsin 2-0.
Kiara McPherson netted her second goal of the year in the 89th minute and shortly following the kickoff her sister
Olivia McPherson struck to account for both tallies. Benedictine posted 19 shots with 14 on target.
Olivia McPherson notched 11 shots with seven on goal.
Katherine Prochnow stopped 11 shots in her first shutout of the year. The win was the first for Benedictine over Concordia Wisconsin since 2007 and the goals marked the first since 2016. Concordia Wisconsin was picked fourth in the preseason poll and won the conference tournament last year.
