Men's Soccer Shuts Out Lakeland on the Road

Four different individuals scored goals as the Benedictine University men's soccer team tallied a 5-0 road conference shutout at Lakeland on Saturday. Joseph Duarte scored twice in the second half. Habtamu Kruiswyk opened the scoring in the 22nd minute and just four minutes later Manav Soorma made the score 2-0. Nick Soto scored in the 52nd minute before the two goals from Duarte. Benedictine finished with 17 shots, putting 10 on goal. Mateo Reyes played the entire game in net and stopped four shots.

Benedictine (2-5-1, 1-2-1 NACC) visits Edgewood on Wednesday.
