Kailyn Knudson scored five times as the Benedictine University women's soccer team streaked to an 8-0 shutout of visiting Alverno on Saturday. Benedictine scored four goals in each half. The first four goals of the game came in the opening 15 minutes of the contest over an eight minute span.
Alexa Lara opened the scoring in the seventh minute. Benedictine finished with 33 shots, 22 on target.
Lyric Jones and
Addi Curtis also scored in the win.
Katherine Prochnow played the first half in net with
Kinley Roberson working the second 45.
Benedictine (3-6-1, 3-3 NACC) plays at Lake Forest on Monday.
