The Benedictine University men's basketball team wrapped up the regular season with a 74-69 victory over Concordia Wisconsin on the road.
The contest featured 23 lead changes along with seven ties, but Benedictine still held the lead for almost 30 minutes of the game. Neither team led by more than seven points. Trailing by a point in the final minute,
Drew Stokes deposited a layup into the hoop as part of a three-point play to give Benedictine the lead for good as the team scored the final six points of the day.
Benedictine finished the game shooting 42.4 percent. The team scored 40 points in the paint and 16 on second chances, reeling in 10 offensive boards as part of finishing +3 on the glass.
All five starters reached double figures.
Tanner Resch notched 18 to go with four rebounds, three assists and three steals. Stokes added 16.
Nick Howard amassed a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds, also recording three blocks.
Trevor Montiel kicked in 10 points while
Ryan Sammons logged 10.
Benedictine (15-10, 12-6 NACC) will be the three seed and will host a conference tournament game on Tuesday night at 7pm against sixth-seeded MSOE.
