The Benedictine University men's basketball rebounded from a tough loss on Saturday to score a 74-65 victory over visiting Edgewood on Wednesday night. The win officially put Benedictine in the NACC Tournament for the fifth consecutive season.
Benedictine led for nearly the entire game but had to hold off a second half rally. Benedictine led 35-26 at halftime and stretched the advantage to 12 points early in the second half.
Four players reached double figures as
Trevor Montiel and
Tanner Resch both finished with 16. Drew Stoke and
Nick Howard each added 15. Benedictine held a 40-34 advantage on the glass. Benedictine shot 45 percent in the game.
Benedictine (14-8, 11-4 NACC) travels to Aurora on Saturday.
