The Benedictine University softball team saw their season come to a close with a 5-1 loss to second-seeded Aurora in the conference tournament on Friday.
Aurora took the lead in the bottom of the first but Benedictine was able to tie the game in the top of the second. Lauryn doubled with two outs and crossed the plate on an error for the lone run of the day. Aurora scored a single run in the third to take the lead and padded the edge with three in the fifth.

Morgan Bruno and
Mia Giammarese all recorded a pair of hits as Benedictine finished with nine.
Bella Lodico struck out nine but suffered the loss in the circle.
Benedictine finished the year with a 25-17 record.
