Opening the season by hosting the Eagle Classic for the second consecutive season, the Benedictine University women's volleyball finished 1-1 on Saturday, ending on a high note with a sweep of Concordia Texas.
Benedictine opened the Wartburg match with a tight set, falling 27-25 in the opener. Benedictine was able to win the third but ultimately fell in four.
Olivia McPherson put down nine kills while
Kiara McPherson dished 29 assists.
Courtney Levy racked up 18 digs with
Kiara McPherson postin 13 and
Olivia McPherson 10.
Amelia Owolabi posted four blocks.
The second match was a sweep of three close sets. Benedictine hit .279 in the opening set and .205 in the second.
Olivia McPherson totaled 15 kills with
Rachel Chalkey adding eight.
Kiara McPherson distributed 30 assists with Levy logging 18 digs.
Kiara McPherson tallied 15 digs and
Danielle Panzeca notched 13.
Benedictine (1-2) visits North Park on Thursday.
