The Benedictine University men's soccer team played 45 minutes of scoreless soccer with one of the top programs in the region before ultimately suffering a 5-0 loss on the road against Hope on Tuesday night.
Hope scored their first goal in the 51st minute and added a second in the 68th minute before scoring three times in the final 20 to put the contest away.
Benedictine finished with 10 shots, five from David Szflarski.
Raul Jasso recorded seven saves in net.
Benedictine (2-2) hosts North Central on Sunday afternoon.
