The Benedictine University football team celebrated senior day before the game and nearly drove down the field to win the contest in the final two minutes but suffered a 14-10 loss to Wisconsin Lutheran.
The game was dominated by defense. Neither team was able to score until late in the first half.
Robert Goedert recovered a fumble to give Benedictine the ball with 4:21 left in the half.
Jack Moses plunged in from one yard out with help on the 'tush push' to hand Benedictine a 7-0 lead with 11 seconds remaining in the first half.

Leonidas Gamino opened the fourth with a 27-yard field goal to make the score 10-0 with 13:58 left in the game. Wisconsin Lutheran responded with a long drive to draw within 10-7 and then converted following an interception to lead 14-10 with 1:56 left. Benedictine proceeded to march down to the one, driving 74 yards in just over a minute. A false start pushed the team back further before Wisconsin Lutheran forced and recovered a fumble to steal a win in the season finale.
Benedictine finished with 322 yards of offense while holding Wisconsin Lutheran to under 300. Moses threw for 156 yards and added 102 on the ground including a 39-yarder on the game's final drive. Dino Stephens ran for 64 yards.
Santino Florio caught seven passes.
Jack Hayden,
Vince Irion and
John Thompson all recorded nine tackles. Hayden posted a sack and 2.5 tackles for loss.
Brian Pritt tallied two sacks to complete his illustrious career and added 2.5 tackles for loss while forcing two fumbles.Â
Benedictine concludes the season with a 7-3 record.
