ANNOUNCING THE 2025 HALL OF FAME CLASS

It is with great pleasure that Benedictine University announces the Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2025. The class will be formally inducted on January 24, 2026 in the Daniel L. Goodwin Hall of Business.

Football
Class of 1971
  • Anchored the right side of the defense at linebacker for a nationally ranked team
  • Led the defense in tackles for a loss each year; Led the defense in recovered fumbles each year
  • Recognized as All-Gateway Conference Defensive Player
  • 1971 Recognized as the Outstanding IBC Athlete of the Year
DON SEBESTYEN
Football
Class of 1971
  • Four-year starter on the offensive line
  • Captain as a senior on nationally ranked team
  • 40-year postgrad career in Catholic education
  • Recognized as a Captain and functional leader of the highly successful offense unit that led NAIA in total offense
  • Leader of the Coach Beck innovative offense that led all District 20 offensive statistical performance categories in 1970 and 1971 seasons
  • Played every offensive snap over four year career

  • Member of NCAA tournament team in all four years
  • Fourth most hits in program history (207)
  • Third most doubles in program history (45)
  • 3x All-Region; 3x First Team NACC
CHRIS JORDAN

Class of 2015
  • Third in program history in ERA (2.90), tied for fourth highest career win percentage (.778)
  • Program's all-time leader in fewest walks per nine innings (0.97)
  • Ninth and 10th in single season ERA (2.39 – 2015; 2.75 - 2013), 1st and third in fewest walks per nine in a season (.51 – 2015; 1.23 – 2013)
  • All-region in 2013; NACC Pitcher of the Year in 2013; 3x First Team All-NACC selection
KAILEE CABLE
Softball
Class of 2016
  • All-time leader in doubles (51) and RBIs (155), third in hits (220), third in at bats (569), fourth in average (.404)
  • 4x All-NACC; 2013 Freshman of the Year
  • Part of three teams that reached the NCAA Regionals including the 2016 team that won a regional
  • 3x All-Region; 49 RBIs in 2013, fifth all-time in single season history
