The Benedictine University men's basketball team ended the season with a 97-71 loss at home to Concordia Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon.
Concordia Wisconsin shot 53 percent from the floor in the game and connected on 11 threes. The visitors made 20 first half field goal attempts. On senior day,
Landen Johnston converted on consecutive baskets to put Benedictine ahead 10-7 before the visitors embarked on a 10-0 run to take the lead for good. Concordia Wisconsin led by 23 at the break. The lead swelled to 37 in the second half as Concordia Wisconsin ended the season for Benedictine.
Patrick Mayfield led Benedictine with 18 points.
Connor Glasgow came off the bench to notch 11 while Johnston dropped in 10. Benedictine scored 34 points in the paint but were outrebounded 44-32.
Benedictine closed the year with a 9-16 record and a mark of 8-10 in the NACC.
