The Benedictine University baseball team scored four runs over the final two innings to record a second straight win in Florida, downing Grove City 7-3 on Saturday.
Trailing 1-0 entering the third
Brennan Fisher tied the game with an RBI single.
Kevin Butler put Benedictine ahead by drawing a bases loaded walk.
Frank Magnelli drove home a run with a groundout in the fifth to make the score 3-1. Single runs in the fifth and seventh tied the game headed into the final two innings.
Nic Castrovillari tripled home the go-ahead runs in the eighth and would score on an error to make the count 6-3.
George Betevis added insurance in the ninth with an RBI double.
CJ Jensik started and worked five innings in a no-decision, allowing two runs while striking out five.
Steven Byrne nabbed the win in relief.
Jackson Bahn worked two scoreless innings to collect the save, his first. Bahn fanned four. Seven different players posted a hit for Benedictine.
Zach Fell, Fisher, Betevis and
Brody Wardenburg all notched two.
Benedictine (5-3) meets Bethel on Sunday as the trip winds down.
