The Benedictine University baseball team headed down the road to North Central and suffered an 11-0 defeat.
Steven Byrne, normally a reliever, made the start, one of four different relievers to see action in the game. Byrne logged just one inning before
Nathan Buehrer,
Anthony Sexton and
Dean Rokkas finished out the contest. Benedictine managed just five hits in the game, two of which came from
Justin Nonnenmann. North Central scored in the first and subsequently in four different innings during the non-conference affair.
Benedictine (13-13) travels to St. Norbert on Saturday.
