Football Announces 2025 Coaching Staff

Benedictine University football head coach Jim Schroeder is pleased to annouce the coaching staff for the 2025 season, bolstered by a pair of new hires. The full list is below.

Offensive Coordinator/Quarterback & Wide Receivers Coach: Ryan Kaltenmark
Special Teams Coordinator/Running Backs Coach: Rick Ponx
Video Coordinator/Linebackers Coach: Hunter Perry
Graduate Assistant/Offensive Line Coach: Dane McMahon
Defensive Backs Coach: John Clarke
Defensive Line Coach: Tyrone Richardson
Offensive Line Coach: Jim Nudera
Linebackers Coach: Joel Nanni
Director of Football Operations: Carl Janssens
Graduate Assistant/Strength & Conditioning Coach: Michael Wagner

The newest full-time members of the staff are Ryan Kaltenmark, who will serve as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks/wide receivers coach, and Hunter Perry, who joins as the video coordinator and linebackers coach.

"We are excited to welcome Coach Kaltenmark and Coach Perry to the coaching staff," said Schroeder. "They both stood out during the interview process due to their ability help the athletes they coach maximize their potential on the field and in the classroom."

Kaltenmark served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa the past two seasons. The offense at Cornell improved significantly in all facets during his tenure. Kaltenmark coached seven all-conference players and helped triple the size of the roster.

Kaltenmark also owns stops at the College of DuPage and in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference with Concordia Chicago along with stints at Trine University and Highland Park High School. Additionally, Kaltenmark played at St. Norbert.

Perry comes to Benedictine after serving as an assistant at the University of Olivet (Michigan) from 2018-24. The Aquinas College graduate coaches outside linebackers, running backs, specialists and also served as the co-coordinator on special teams during his time at Olivet. Perry owns time at Western Michigan as a special team analyst and quality control coach from 2015-16 and was part of two teams that participated in bowl games. Perry also owns time at the high school level in Michigan at Portage Central and Harper Creek.

The 2025 season will kickoff on September 6 at 1:00pm against Buena Vista.
