The women's basketball team held on late to secure a 69-68 road victory over Lakeland on Saturday afternoon in NACC action.

THE DETAILS
-Benedictine jumped out to a fast start, scoring 25 points in the opening quarter
-Lakeland responded in the second quarter, scoring 22 points to cut the deficit to four going into halftime
-The Eagles played strong defense, forcing many turnovers in the third quarter, but Lakeland got within two going into the final quarter
-Benedictine closed out the game at the free-throw line and with key defensive stops in the final minutes
-The Eagles forced 24 turnovers and turned them into 21 points
