Men's Hoops Cruises to Third Straight

The Benedictine University men's basketball team did not trail in securing a third consecutive win, taking down visiting Illinois Tech on Wednesday night.

Brandon McCoy scored the first field goal of the game at the 18:34 mark to put Benedictine ahead 3-0
- Illinois Tech was able to stay close early, tying the game at 8-8 with 13:32 left
- Noah Mason splashed home a three to open an 18-0 run that saw Benedictine seize control of the contest
- Five different players scored during the run, which saw three three-pointers from three different individuals
- Connor Glasgow knocked down a three to finish the spurt, making the score 26-18 with 9:26 left in the opening half
- Mason pushed the lead to 20 points at 30-10 with 7:26 to play in the half and Benedictine led by as many as 24, holding a 44-22 edge at the break
