The women's basketball team came up just short in a 72-70 overtime loss on Saturday afternoon at the Kern Center.

-Benedictine trailed 16-10 after the opening quarter before responding with a strong second period, outscoring MSOE 19-14 to cut the deficit to 30-29 at halftime
-The teams traded runs throughout the second half, with both teams scoring 15 points in the third quarter
-Benedictine put together a strong fourth quarter, taking multiple leads and going up by as many as five points
-MSOE answered in the final seconds to force overtime with a basket in the paint, sending the game tied at 58-58 at the end of regulation
