The Benedictine softball team earned a hard-fought postseason victory, outlasting Concordia Wisconsin 6-5 in eight innings.

THE DETAILS
-Concordia Wisconsin struck early with three runs in the first inning to take an early lead
-Benedictine responded with two runs in the second and added single runs in the third and fourth to take a 5-3 advantage 
-The Falcons chipped away, scoring once in the fourth and tying the game in the seventh to force extra innings 
-In the eighth, Lauren Bogard delivered the go-ahead RBI single to score Jenna Bartke and give Benedictine a 6-5 lead
-The Eagles held off Concordia in the bottom half to secure the win

-Benedictine finished with 13 hits in the contest
-Lauren Bogard led the way with two hits and two RBIs, including the game-winning hit
-Mia Giammarese and Alyssa Perkins each recorded two hits and drove in a run
