About Men's and Women's Rugby
Benedictine University Rugby kicked off in Winter 2023 and has quickly growing into one of the most exciting and welcoming student-led athletic programs on campus.
The Men's team competes in Division 2 of the Great Midwest Conference, one of the strongest collegiate rugby leagues in the country. The Women's team is currently being established, with efforts underway to build interest, recruit players, and form a competitive side.Â
We take pride in being a program that's open to all students, whether you've played rugby for years or never touched a ball. Our club is built on competition, camaraderie, and growth, both on and off the field.Â
We Welcome:
- Students looking to compete at a high-level sport against schools across Chicago and the country
- New Players ready to try something completely different
- Anyone interested in support roles like student coaching, operations, or media
Practices and home matches take place on campus, and we provide everything you need to get started.
