Netzel graduated from Kankakee High School in 2011. Following high school, Netzel attended Kaskaskia College and went to the Junior College World Series in 2013. Receiving his Associates in Arts, Netzel then continued his education at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee for a semester before transferring to Benedictine University in the Fall of 2014. Cody was the pitching captain in the 2015 spring season. Cody is studying Exercise Sport Studies here at Benedictine and is working with our staff as a student coach; he hopes to become a strength and conditioning coach and personal trainer once completing his bachelor’s degree.
