Charles Love is entering his third season as an assistant at Benedictine University after joining the staff for the 2016 season and works with the wide receivers.

Elijah Walker set a school record with 13 touchdown catches in 2016 and was named All-Region after accumulating over 1,100 yards. Walker ranked among the national leaders in touchdowns in 2016. The 2017 season saw Benedictine feature the top two receivers in touchdown catches in the NACC. Brandon Moore grabbed 13, matching Walker's record, while Matt Fleming added 10. Moore, Fleming and Dean Pauley were named all-conference. Love also served as the lead punt coach in 2017, guiding Grant Klaver to the second best average in the conference.

Love spent two years as the tight ends and fullback coach at the University of Indianapolis. Indianapolis won a pair of Great Lakes Valley Conference titles during his tenure and reached the NCAA Division II Playoffs in 2015.

Prior to coaching at the University of Indianapolis, Love was an assistant offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach at Warren Central High School in Indiana and helped them win their first 6A State Championship in 2013.

Love Played collegiately as a tight end and wide receiver at Indiana University on a full-ride scholarship. He played in 36 games from 2009-2012.
