Eliasik is in his first season on the staff at Benedictine in 2015, working with the offensive line.
He served as the head coach at Harper College in Palatine, Ill. for 35 years and was elected to the NJCAA Coaches Hall of Fame. Eliasik retired following the 2005 season with the most win in NJCAA history. He coached three national championship teams.
Eliasik played at Southern Illinois University and captained the 1966 team. Eliasik was voted on to the all-decade team.
A Chicago, Ill. native, Eliasik is married to Darlene and has two children, Cindy and John, Jr., along with four grandchildren.
