Dierking is entering his second season as an assistant at Benedictine in 2017.

The North Central College graduate begins his first full year as defensive coordinator after opening his tenure at Benedictine as a position coach.

He previously was the primary position coach for defensive backs at North Central College.

After a stellar four-year playing career, Dierking joined the North Central College coaching staff as a graduate assistant coach prior to the 2014 season, assisting with the coaching of defensive backs.

A four-year letter winner, three-year starter at safety and two-year team captain for the Cardinals from 2010-2013, Dierking took part in a school-record 51 games, of which North Central won 45. He was a part of the Cardinals' first appearance in the national quarterfinals in 2010 and the team's first trip to the national semifinals in 2013.

Dierking is North Central's career leader in interceptions and set the single-season record for interceptions with eight as a senior. He was a three-time First Team All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) selection, a two-time All-North Region honoree, and in 2013 he was named a First Team All-American and the North Region Defensive Player of the Year by D3football.com.

A native of Wheaton, Dierking graduated from North Central with a bachelor's degree in management.
