2009: Played and started in all 10 games as a junior in 2009… Was one of four team captains… Led the team with three interceptions… Had one touchdown.

2008: 46 tackles (28 solo) ... Two interceptions ... One recovered fumble and one forced fumble ... Second on the team with six pass break-ups ... Northern Athletics Conference Scholar-Athlete.

2007: Six tackles (five solo) as a freshman ... Five games played.

HIGH SCHOOL: A two-year letterwinner at Lincoln-Way Central (2007) … Rob Glielmi was his coach … An all-conference honorable mention honoree as a senior.

PERSONAL: Son of Dennis and Mary Shanahan … Has five brothers and three sisters, all older … All five of his brothers also attended Benedictine …favorite athlete is Tom Brady... enjoys hunting, long walks on the beach and good conversation... favorite thing to do at BenU is hang out at Thomas 1103.
