Evans joined the staff of head coach Keith Bunkenburg prior to the start of the 2016-17 season and is entering his second year on the staff.
Evans helped direct Benedictine to a second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance in 2016-17 and hold a national ranking all season.
The Oberlin College graduate arrives at Benedictine following a tenure as an assistant coach at Lake Forest College from 2010-2015. Lake Forest finished 20-4 in the 2011-12 season, winning the Midwest Conference. While at Lake Forest, Evans designed a perimeter player development program which resulted in three all-conference choices.
Prior to joining Lake Forest, Evans spent two seasons at Grand Valley State in Michigan, helping the team to a pair of appearances in the NCAA Division II Tournament.
The Chandler, Ariz. native was a three-year starter at point guard while at Oberlin and served as captain in 2004-05 while ranking among the conference leaders in five categories. Evans also earned all-conference in track and field as a middle distance runner.
