Fano enters his third season as an assistant at Benedictine in 2016-17, and his second in a full-time role.
Fano has been part of two conference championship teams and helped direct Benedictine to the 2016 NCAA Division III National Championship game.
Fano owns 12 years of experience as a high school varsity assistant. He started as the varsity assistant at Gordon Tech High School in 1996, and won a pair of regional championships in eight years.
Fano also experienced coaching at Rich Falk, Future Stars, and Illinois State summer camps. Fano served as head coach for the North Shore Express and Northwest Hustlers AAU programs. He was also the head assistant at Libertyville High School for four years. Fano was responsible for on floor coaching scouting, film exchange, player development, practice planning and game planning. Between Libertyville and Gordon Tech, he coached 15 all-conference players, eight of which went on to play at Division I programs. Fano played at Fenwick from 1992-95.
