After a four year playing career in a Benedictine University uniform, Creighton Goss heads into his second season as a member of Benedictine’s coaching staff. As he continues his undergraduate degree, Goss assumes the role of Student Assistant Coach. He is involved in all aspects of the Benedictine Soccer program, with primary responsibilities in team training, sports performance, and alumni events.
“I think it is great to have an alumnus of the program assisting, particularly one with Creighton’s background as a captain and with his academic pursuits in Sport Science,” says Nassif. “Creighton is a perfect mentor for our very young team, being able to relate to his own experience as a student-athlete at Benedictine. He’s done a great job helping the guys balance their athletic and academic duties, as well as assist in all aspects of training and running a collegiate soccer program. Our recent success is certainly a credit to the example he provides, and we look forward to seeing Creighton continue to grow as a coach and as a person.”
A four year starter at Benedictine, Goss was named team captain during his senior year and led the Eagles to two conference tournament appearances in 2010 and 2011. Playing primarily as a defender, Goss collected four goals and three assists over his career. He is currently finishing up his degree in Exercise and Sport Science at Benedictine.
