Dan Buehring joined the Benedictine University Department of Athletics in 2015 as the first-ever head men's volleyball coach. Along with coaching, Buehring continues to play professionally in the Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) Tour.

BUEHRING AT BENEDICTINE
• Building the program from the ground up has notched four winning seasons including three in a row and a pair of 20-win campaigns in 2018 and 2019
• Five straight winning seasons in conference play
• Swept a Division I foe (Sacred Heart) in the shortened 2020 season

• Led Benedictine to their best season-ever in 2019
, finishing 22-3
• Helped the Eagles win their second straight NACC regular season title in 2019
• Coached BenU's first All-American, Elijah Medlock, in 2019
• Coached four All-Conference players in 2019
• Led the 2019 team to a season high No. 3 AVCA ranking
• Guided Benedictine to their first-ever AVCA national ranking in 2018

• Helped the 2018 team win the first-ever Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference regular season title
• Finished the 2018 season with a No. 9 AVCA national ranking
• Coached six All-Conference players in 2018
• Amassed 10 conference wins in 2017, narrowly missing a spot in the MCVL Tournament
• Coached two Second Team All-Conference players in 2016
• Improved the Eagles overall record to 16-9 in just the second year as a program

• Started the men's volleyball program from the ground up in 2015
• Defeated the #12 team in the country in their first year as a program (2015)

AS A COLLEGIATE PLAYER
• Began his collegiate volleyball career at Ball State
• Transferred to California Baptist where he won two NAIA national titles as a setter

IN THE AVP
• Has been competing in the AVP since 2010

• Earned a top 50 ranking in four consecutive seasons from 2014-2017
• AVP Career best finishes:13th (twice); 17th (nine)
• 33 AVP Tournament wins regionally
