Stevens comes to Benedictine to take over the men's volleyball program for the 2025 season after spending three years as an assistant coach at Carthage College, working with the men’s volleyball team during their 2022 National Championship run and subsequent seasons.
During his time with the Firebirds, they achieved a 60-17 record over three seasons, and have had members of the team earn a combined nine AVCA All-American Awards, an AVCA DIII Newcomer of the Year Award, 11 AVCA DIII All-Region Awards, and the 2022 AVCA DIII West Region Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year. In addition, he helped lead the Firebirds to two regular season conference championship, a conference postseason tournament championship, and appearances in the NCAA D3 Tournament in 2022 and 2023. Working primarily with the setters and offense, he helped navigate in game adjustments for the team and trained the offensive system.
Stevens also works as a Director, Recruiting Coordinator, and Master Coach for Southport Volleyball Club, a nationally ranked club out of the Southeast Wisconsin area. He started his coaching career with the club back in 2015, and in 2021 he was named Director of the organization by Southport’s board of directors.
Since 2018, he has also worked as a High-Performance Coach for the Badger Region, the USA Volleyball Regional Volleyball Association for the state of Wisconsin. During his time with the High-Performance Program, he has helped train many of the top recruits in the Badger Region, and his run is highlighted by helping lead the U19 Team to a Gold Medal in the 2022 All-Star Championships in Tulsa, OK.
Stevens is a 2019 graduate of UW-Parkside with a degree in Marketing and a Certificate in Sales.
