CHICAGO, Ill. - Benedictine University's women's basketball team came out on the short end of a 56-55 score in a non-conference game versus North Park University to open the 2009-10 season. The Eagles and Vikings were deadlocked at 24-24 at the half.
Senior post player
Monika Krozel led Benedictine with 12 points and nine rebounds. Krozel was the only Eagle in double figure scoring. She also had two blocked shots.
Junior
Jenn Bren came of the BU bench to add nine points, five rebounds and three assists. Sophomore
Tracey Walsh and freshman
Colleen Forkin each tallied seven points.
As a team, the Eagles shot just 35 percent from the field. North Park's bench also outscored that of Benedictine by a 27-17 margin.
