LISLE, Ill. -
The Benedictine University baseball team slid past Robert Morris-Chicago 3-1 in the second game of a non-conference doubleheader on Wednesday.

Robert Morris knotted the score in the fourth against Benedictine starter Kyle Kukulski (Crystal Lake, Ill.). Brett Velon led off with a single, stole second and moved up on an errant throw. He scored when Anthony Senor lifted a sacrifice fly to centerfield.

The Eagles retook the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning. Chris Wanderling (La Grange, Ill.) drew a one-out walk and was sacrificed to second. Kevin Hendricks (Mundelein, Ill.) deposited a single in to left center with two outs to put Benedictine ahead. Another run crossed in the sixth to pad the lead to 3-1. Tim Gindville (New Lenox, Ill.) was hit by a pitch and sacrificed to second. Adam LeRoy (Aurora, Ill.)drove him home with a single to left.
