KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The Benedictine University softball team ran its record to 4-0 in Florida with a pair of wins on Monday, 3-1 over Bluffton and 6-2 over Wittenberg.

Brittany Adcox (Plainfield, Ill.) went the distance in the win over Bluffton, scattering just three hits. She struck out 12 and allowed only one run. Steff Rybarczyk (Chicago, Ill.) was 2-for-3 at the plate with a big RBI double.

Sam Corban (Plainfield, Ill.) started against Wittenberg and left after 4.1 innings. Corban allowed two runs on six hits. Brittney Carnell (Elburn, Ill.) entered in relief to earn the win, allowing just one hit in 2.2 innings of relief. Kara Walsh (Oak Forest, Ill.) came through with a two-out two-run single. Cassie Cappetto (Oak Lawn, Ill.) drove in a run and Erin Galloway (Dwight, Ill.) belted her first hoemr of the season and the first of the trip by the Eagles.

The Eagles are off until Wednesday when they will play afternoon games against the University of St. Francis (Ind.) and the College of Mount St. Joseph.
