ORLANDO, Fla. - The Benedictine University softball team suffered their first loss of the 2011 season against University of Wisconsin-Superior on Wednesday night, falling 5-2. The Eagles bounced back against Elmhurst, defeating the Bluejays 7-3 in the nightcap.
Against Superior, BenU's
Brittany Adcox received the loss after pitching five innings with five strikeouts and just three earned runs. At the plate,
Kara Walsh was 2-3 with one stolen base.
In game two, Adcox picked up the win with zero earned runs in four innings with six strikeouts.
Brittany Wolski was 3-4 with two runs scored, two RBI and three stolen bases.
Sam Corban was 2-4 with an RBI while
Laura Christensen was 2-4. Adcox also had two hits in the Eagles win.
Benedictine is back in action on Thursday night when they play their final two games of the trip against University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and Hope College.
